He'd been tense, wary before and Elijah didn't want that--thus the gentle, relaxing touches. He also didn't necessarily want to push too far too fast, even if he was tempted to somehow figure out quickly how to get Ric out of his clothes and stretched out on something comfortable.

The confused sound, though, had him pulling back almost immediately, though only so much that he could speak, lips moving against Ric's.
