Ric trembled a little, as he came down. He twitched very occasionally, and the hand he stroked through Elijah's hair wasn't entirely steady. He stayed quiet, finally letting his eyes drift shut, for a few moments. Until he could hear above his pulse, thundering in his ears.
He opened his eyes again and tugged, just a little at Elijah's hair. "Come here, please?"
