"Nothing's wrong," Elijah said quietly, rolling back to his side to
face Ric, reaching out to brush his fingers through Ric's hair, down his
cheek. "You're just...testing the limits of my self control right now. And
I made you a promise."
Not to do anything Ric didn't want him to do.
"I'm blaming the emotions of the day. Normally...I'm better at not pushing
that line."
Ric could either feel flattered or concerned, but Elijah didn't pull any
farther away, kept touching him. "Just give me a second to settle a bit."
