Damon didn't mind the closeness or the protectiveness. Honestly, it made him feel more secure and he did nothing to pull away, even once they were in the shower. He did reach for one of the wrapped soaps, snagging it, then holding up a finger for Ric to wait just a second while he leaned out of the shower and got them a washcloth before ducking back.

He leaned in and gave Ric a soft kiss. "I do," he agreed. He ducked his head and slid his tongue up Ric's neck, catching sweat and shower water and shivering a little bit. "Cleaned up first, then marking, then bed. Possibly with more clothes on than we might like, but bed, nonetheless." Honestly t-shirt and boxer shorts were a small price to pay to get to sleep close to Ric.
